History[]

He is a member of Doctor Doom's Lethal Legion and along with M.O.D.O.K. acts as the group's comic relief.

Search For the Infinity Shards[]

After a S.H.I.E.L.D. missile test accidently uncovered an Infinity Fractal, M.O.D.O.K. called Abomination and Sabretooth to an A.I.M. Helicarrier to inform them. They were interrupted by Doctor Doom who revealed his plans to use the Infinity Fractal and the Infinity Melder, a machine created by Mole Man, to make a recreation of the Infinity Sword. Bothe Sabretooth and Abomination, along with an army of A.I.M agents, were sent to the S.H.I.E.L.D. facility to gain the fractal, however they were stopped by the Super Hero Squad. After failing in a battle with the Super Hero Squad, Abomination and Sabretooth retreated to the A.I.M. Helicarrier. The Super Hero Squad followed but were knocked back by a blast from Doom's Dominator Cannon, leaving only Hulk and Wolverine. Making their way to the Helicarrier, Wolverine and Hulk again defeated Abomination in battle and made their way to M.O.D.O.K.. To defend himself, M.O.D.O.K. decided to power Doom's Dominator Cannon with the Infinity Fractal but it instead overloaded, destroying the Helicarrier and separating the Infinity Fractal into separate Infinity Shards, sending them across Superhero City, including into M.O.D.O.K.'s own forehead. Doctor Doom grouped together members of the Lethal Legion, including Abomination, and told them to get the Infinity Shards before the Super Hero Squad.

Later, Hulk noticed an Infinity Shard signal on his SSLAM. Abomination, who was tracking Hulk, watched from afar and made his own plans. Hulk, making his way to his destination, was distracted by some ice cream allowing Abomination to catch up. When Abomination finally confronted Hulk, their weights combined broke through the floor, separating the two and sending them into the Subterranea. Abomination and Hulk both made it to the Infinity Shard at the same time but Hulk grabbed it first, transforming him into the Gray Hulk. Claiming the Infinity Shard as his, Abomination angrily punched Hulk out of Subterranea and into the Baxter Building. Abomination followed Hulk who in turn activated a portal to the Negative Zone. Hulk once again confronted Abomination in the Negative Zone, ending in Abomination losing. Hulk transported both of them back to the vault but Abomination escaped without the shard.

Afterwards, Abomination and Sabretooth were sent to fight the Super Hero Squad and were defeated once more, however the attack was just a distraction for Doctor Doom to collect the Infinity Shards from the vault and Abomination escaped.
